Ingredients
:Putnalu ( Roasted dal ) – 1/2 cupDry dates – 2 to 3
Jaggery – 1 cup
Coconut powder – 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Ghee as required
Salt ( Optional) – Small pinch
Instructions
:- Grind Putnalu ( Roasted dal ) and keep it a side.Then grate the dry dates and mix it well.
- Take a small pan and grease with little ghee and keep aside. And take a pan on heat it on low flame, add ghee, jaggery, cardamom powder, salt and half a cup of water.
- Boil till jaggery dissolves and the syrups comes to a boil.
- Test the syrup by placing a drop of the jaggery syrup into a small bowl filled with water. If the syrup drop in the water forms a soft ball, remove the jaggery from heat.
- Stir it in Putanalu ( Roasted dal ), dry dates mixture and pour the hot Putanalu ( Roasted dal ) mixture onto the ghee greased pan. Let it cool and cut it into your desired shapes.
- Yummy Putnala burfi is ready to have.
