Banana Halwa

Banana Halwa Recipe 
Ingredients 
* Ripe Bananas - 4
Sugar - 1/2 cup
* Ghee - 2 tbsp
* Cashew, almonds - 2 tbsp (chopped)
* Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
* Yellow food color - a pinch (optional)
Preparation 
* Roughly chop or coarsely grate the bananas. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a thick bottom pan and fry the nuts. Keep them aside. Now in the same ghee, put the banana pulp and saute well till golden brown in color.
* Now add the sugar and saute well. The mixture will become a little watery but keep stirring and eventually the mixture will thicken. Now add the cardamom powder and the food color and saute well.
* Add the other tbsp of ghee also and add the fried nuts. The mixture will become more thick and will have a glossy look.
* his is the right consistency to switch off the heat. Keep stirring for a few seconds more. Now Banana Halwa is ready. Serve it hot or warm.
